You can make International and Domestic Long Distance telephone calls out of Coron through the local offices of 21st Century Telecom (an agent of Globe Telecom in Manila) or through RCPI (Bayantel). You can also send out domestic and international Faxes.

Cell Phones ...

Globe Smart and international cell phones roaming will generally work in Coron but lines are limited. Cell-phone coverage began in this area as of March 2001.

Your friends can't easily or reliably call in to you, our best advice is to get them to send you a text message.

There are internet cafe's in coron, one has 12 computers on-line with a reasonably fast connection. You can check Yahoo mail and MSN Hotmail and others on their computers.

As at Jan 2005 there is not a GPRS signal in Coron Town but it is available at several locations on the way out to the wrecks from the dive boat if you have a Blackberry or Smart phone, hopefully GPRS will be available in town soon!
